Cashel

This is a relatively easy pattern from Alice Starmore's The Celtic Collection. I checked the book out from the library either two or three times, so it took approximately 8-12 weeks to complete. Ends woven in 8/24/03.

The yarn used was Jo Sharp DK in shad 305, dye lot 32942. The blue is even more electric than rendered here, and the stitch definition of the yarn is exceptional. I made two small modifications to the pattern: I used short-row shaping for the shoulders, in order to be able to join them with the three-needle bind-of, and I lengthened the body slightly, as my son has a long torso.
