Yarn Berocco Softwist in Alizarin -- 6 hanks? 41% wool, 59% rayon
Tension - 5 sts/inch using 4.5 mm Addi Natura circs for body & 4.0 mm Addi Natura circs
Notes on this yarn substitution:
The recommended yarn was School House Press' Québéçoise. The Softwist provided good cable definition and beautiful drape; however, it was very easy to split and was a bit lacking in body for the button bands. You can see this at the top two buttons in particular, where the band has the most weight pulling downward on it. I may be able to compensate for this by using a hook & eye to fasten the bottom button band to the inside of the right front piece.Yarn was purchased on eBay, and pewter buttons were purchased from the Seattle Yarn Gallery. Total cost: $27.10.
