Blue Ribbon Dragon Socks and Babydragons

These socks were the first knitting project I designed myself. The stitch pattern is Dragon Skin, from Barbara Walker's 2nd Treasury, and the pattern is here.

I used Brown Sheep's Lambs Pride Superwash in Midnight Pine, knit on 3.75 mm dpns. I entered them into our county fair, proving I'm not completely devoid of competitive ambition.

These were a gift to my sister, pregnant at the time, so I made a matching wee pair, below.
