Labrador Vest, adapted from Gimme 5 (Fall 2002 Knitter's)

I received a lovely gift of four balls of Crystal Palace Labrador, each in a different shade. After a bit of rumination on possible color combinations and the yarn structure (bulky thick/thin), I remembered that I'd liked the cover vest from the Fall Knitter's. Labrador knits to a much different gauge than Colinette Point 5, which the pattern called for, so I reworked the pattern for the smaller gauge. Rather than using a button for the closure, I unearthed a pewter and amber bar pin from my jewelry case, and it's lovely.
